Should I Stay, Or Should I Go
My Story Began With a Single Message That Shattered Everything
Ten years ago, in the middle of cooking dinner for my three small children, my phone lit up with a stranger’s face — and in an instant, the life I thought I had collapsed beneath me.
We were the family everyone envied. The beautiful home. The picture-perfect life. The future I had always imagined.
Until that moment.
Stacey — a woman I had never met — wanted me to know that her marriage had ended because of my husband. He had pursued an affair with her. It had happened a year earlier. And with one message, everything I believed in evaporated.
I hated her.
I hated him.
And worst of all… I hated myself.
He tried to justify it. Minimize it. Twist it into my fault.
He told me I was unstable, depressed, overly suspicious.
But deep down, I had always known the truth:
He had never — not once — been faithful to me.
He begged me not to leave.
Promised change.
Said he was “madly in love with me.”
Told me it “didn’t mean anything.”
Inserted any excuse he could find.
And because my self-esteem had been worn down to nothing, I wondered if maybe… just maybe… it was me.
But I want every woman reading this to hear me clearly:
IT. IS. NOT. YOU.
You are not crazy.
You are not too much or not enough.
Your intuition is not the enemy.
Your worth is not determined by someone else’s betrayal.
This space was created for you —
for women standing at the crossroads of staying or leaving,
for women looking for support, clarity, and a safe place to be seen.
You are not alone.
And your story is not over.
I hope by sharing my story, you will create your own "living untethered" happily ever after. Ten years ago I asked myself "should I stay or should I go." I searched everywhere for the answers hoping for a blog or book that guided me. I never found one. So here it is.
