Lies ad Deception Leads to Truth and Becoming

Image
For years, I believed you. Not because I was weak—but because you were practiced. Charming. Convincing. Skilled at weaving lies so tightly around fragments of truth that I began questioning myself instead of you. You made confusion feel like my failure. You made doubt feel earned. I lived inside your stories long enough to forget my own voice. Every time I thought we were done, you came back—reopening wounds, pulling threads, trying to reassert control. You assumed I was still the same woman you left behind. You were wrong. While you were dormant, clinging to your rehearsed narratives, I was rebuilding in silence. I was untangling the lies. I was remembering something critical: I was never the liar. Say whatever you want now. Try whatever tactic you need to survive your own reflection. It doesn’t matter. You already took me to the lowest point of my soul. And instead of breaking me, you stripped me down to truth. That’s a place you can’t reach me anymore. I am not con...

You Made Me Stronger

Image
Your attempts to weaken me failed. They didn’t silence me. They didn’t contain me. They didn’t end me. They exposed exactly what they were meant to hide— insecurity, control, and a pattern that could only exist where power was borrowed, not owned. I no longer shrink in response to dysfunction. I no longer explain myself to those invested in distortion. I no longer react to behavior designed to provoke. What was meant to diminish me did not succeed. It forged someone stronger, sharper, and impossible to contain. There is no haunting where access has been revoked. No threat in what has lost relevance. What remains is clarity. And clarity always produces strength. -- Untethered Warrior

Truth and Consequence in the Face of Abuse

Image
Untethered Warriors 4 m   · It's Time for the Truth — And I Will Not Be Silent Anymore I am done pretending. Done shrinking. Done being “nice” so other people can remain comfortable in a lie. I am not afraid of the consequences of telling the truth— because the consequences of silence nearly erased me. Women who have been harmed are forced to live a performance long after the damage is done. We are trained to carry guilt that is not ours. To interrogate our reactions instead of the cruelty that provoked them. To manage our tone, our expression, our delivery—while the person responsible walks free, unexamined, untouched. Let me say this without apology: The problem has never been us. The problem is that nothing happened to the person who caused it. We are not crazy. We are not unstable. We are not “too emotional.” We are women whose nervous systems were hijacked by fear, manipulation, and psychological warfare—and then blamed for the aftermath. For years, we are conditioned t...

Self-trust is born the day you stop asking broken people to make sense. I used to need answers. Not because I was weak— but because I was still trying to make sense of something that was never meant to make sense. I thought if I understood why , I could finally be free. If I got the truth, the apology, the explanation— I could close the door. Here’s what I learned the hard way: Never try to understand an unhealthy mind when your healthy one is what it feeds on. People who create chaos do not provide clarity. They provide distortion. They drain, deflect, and dismantle—then watch you exhaust yourself trying to reason with it. So I stopped asking. Not gently. Not ceremoniously. I stopped because I woke up . I outgrew the version of me that needed answers because she was still negotiating with damage. Still trying to extract logic from dysfunction. Still believing closure would come from the same place the harm originated. That version of me no longer exists. I d...

Set Intentions, Not Resolutions

Image
As one year closes and another begins, an Untethered Warrior does not reach for resolutions. Resolutions are rigid. They demand perfection and punish humanity. Intentions are different. They are chosen, not forced. They are lived, not performed. An Untethered Warrior understands this: becoming is not linear. Strength isn’t proven by never falling— it’s proven by continuing forward with awareness . Intentions allow room for growth without shame. They allow us to stumble and still trust ourselves. To pause without quitting. To move forward without permission. This is not about proving anything. It’s about alignment. Choosing a path that feels rooted and true. Releasing survival mode. Letting clarity replace fear. When you live by intention, you are no longer tethered to old cycles. You are no longer defined by who you had to be. You are guided by who you are becoming. This year, we don’t resolve. We intend . We intend to live awake. We intend to live aligne...

Walking Away Toward Clarity

Image
For years, I was in a toxic and abusive marriage. Maybe you can relate. It didn’t begin with chaos. It began with a quiet uneasiness—something I couldn’t name, something I blamed on myself. I was young, hopeful, and deeply invested in making the relationship work. So I pushed forward. I got married. I became a mother to beautiful children. And still, there was a low, constant signal inside me—a knowing that I wasn’t safe. The signs were subtle at first. Phones turned face down. Conversations held just out of reach. Things accidentally left open that should never have existed at all. And eventually, proof that could only be explained by someone skilled in deception and deflection. By the time the truth became undeniable, I felt trapped. I had stepped away from my career to raise my toddlers, believing I was building a life rooted in love and stability. When I sought legal advice, I was told my options were limited. Fear took the wheel. I stayed. We tried therapy. But someone commi...

Let's Talk About Forgiveness

Image
Let's Talk About Forgiveness (or the Refusal Thereof) People love to say forgiveness is the path to peace. But forgiveness, as it’s commonly preached, is hollow. Moving past what hurt you matters. Releasing the victim identity matters. But forgiveness does not mean absolution—and it does not require acceptance. To me, forgiveness has been twisted into something dangerous. It’s been rebranded as virtue when it often asks survivors to minimize the trauma inflicted on their souls—trauma that was unwarranted, undeserved, and not of their making. So no. I don’t forgive. Acceptance does not mean accepting the pain someone chose to inflict. It does not mean making peace with emotional hell. And it sure as hell doesn’t mean excusing cruelty because someone else is broken. Here’s the truth most people avoid: Broken people hurt others not by accident—but by projection. They try to pull you down to the level of pain they live in because they cannot rise above it themselves. And for that? I ...

Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Image
Should I Stay or Go? The hardest question in a toxic relationship is not how to survive it. It’s whether to stay… or go. That question sits at the very heart of Untethered Warrior—not just as a page, but as a brand, a mission, and a movement. I never felt safe. I never felt stable. Yet year after year, I stayed. Seventeen trauma-bound, unsteady years later, I finally left. That decision did not come easily. I searched everywhere for answers. Amazon. Bookstores. The internet. I was desperate for someone—anyone—to tell me what felt like a simple truth: Should I stay or should I go? There was nothing. Not because the answer didn’t exist—but because I was too broken at the time to see what had already been written on the wall. I isolated from the people I loved. I was afraid of what they thought. Afraid of what they already knew. Ashamed of how long I had stayed. Ashamed that I was married to a serial cheat and still believed it could change. I had hope. As my late father once said, ...

Too many of us suffered alone. Isolated by abuse cycles. Conditioned to stay quiet. Ashamed of pain we didn’t create. Disoriented by narratives spun to erase our truth. This page exists to end that isolation. Untethered Warriors is not content — it is community. Joining this page is not passive. It is a decision to stop carrying this alone. To stop hiding. To stop believing you have to be strong in silence. Abuse is not just physical. It is emotional. It is financial. It is psychological. And it fractures your sense of self. That fracture heals faster when you are witnessed. When you join this page, you are choosing: • truth over distortion • connection over isolation • unity over fear You don’t have to post. You don’t have to explain. You don’t have to be “ready.” You just have to be here. This is a safe haven — a place to ask, to share, to learn, and to remember who you are. A place where your story is not questioned. A place where you are believed. When I was in the depths of ...

Holidays Post Divorce

Holidays, Rewritten The holidays after divorce require a recalibration. Not because something went wrong—but because the original blueprint no longer applies. What once felt automatic now demands intention. And intention, while less romantic, is far more honest. It can be disorienting to move through a season built on images of intact families and inherited traditions while knowing your life doesn’t mirror that structure anymore. Those scenes aren’t fantasies—they’re cultural defaults. And recognizing that your family no longer fits the default can feel like standing slightly outside the frame. That awareness sharpens when you have children. You once imagined holidays as seamless for them—one home, one rhythm, traditions unfolding without effort. Instead, you now curate. You plan. You think ahead. You work to make the experience grounded rather than idealized. This isn’t failure. It’s adaptation. Your children are not missing out on love. They are witnessing resilience, agency, a...
