Caring for Aging Loved Ones

Watching our parents age is one of the hardest, quietest transitions we go through.
The people who once held everything together begin to need support themselves — emotionally, physically, sometimes mentally. And suddenly, love feels heavier. More complicated.
You can love them deeply and still need boundaries.
You can show compassion without losing yourself.
Boundaries don’t mean you love them less.
They mean you’re choosing sustainability over resentment.
This season asks us to grieve who they once were
while learning how to love who they are becoming.
And that’s not easy.
If you’re navigating aging parents — the guilt, the grief, the tenderness, the exhaustion — you’re not alone. This is hard. And it’s okay to say so.
How have you learned to balance love and boundaries in this season?
Your story might help someone else feel less alone.
