Lies ad Deception Leads to Truth and Becoming

For years, I believed you.

Not because I was weak—but because you were practiced.
Charming. Convincing. Skilled at weaving lies so tightly around fragments of truth that I began questioning myself instead of you. You made confusion feel like my failure. You made doubt feel earned.

I lived inside your stories long enough to forget my own voice.

Every time I thought we were done, you came back—reopening wounds, pulling threads, trying to reassert control. You assumed I was still the same woman you left behind.

You were wrong.

While you were dormant, clinging to your rehearsed narratives, I was rebuilding in silence. I was untangling the lies. I was remembering something critical:

I was never the liar.

Say whatever you want now.
Try whatever tactic you need to survive your own reflection.

It doesn’t matter.

You already took me to the lowest point of my soul. And instead of breaking me, you stripped me down to truth. That’s a place you can’t reach me anymore.

I am not confused.
I am not angry.
I am not afraid.

I am the truth.

And you—
you are unraveling.

I see it clearly now. The panic. The rewriting. The desperation to pull me back into your distortion. But I don’t live there anymore.

You are nothing to me now.
Not power.
Not pain.
Not even hatred.

Just a memory of who I once was before I learned better.

I believed in you. I gave you chances you never deserved. And the moment I saw the truth, you tried to destroy me for it.

Too late.

I walked out of your webs of deception and dysfunction. I didn’t escape them—I outgrew them. And I am better without you.

Yes, I miss the woman I was before I knew this kind of harm existed. Before I learned how cruel people can be when exposed.

But I trust the woman I became.

She was forged in pain she never deserved.
She survived what should have destroyed her.
And she stands now—clear, steady, untethered.

You needed lies to exist.
I only needed truth.

Untethered Warrior
