You Are the Person I Wish I Never Met
You belittled me. You abused me. You tortured me emotionally and tried—relentlessly—to destroy me. You chipped away at my confidence, my voice, my sense of self, until I barely recognized the woman staring back at me.
You wanted me small.
You wanted me silent.
You wanted me broken.
And for a time, I was scared. I cried. I collapsed under the weight of your cruelty. I lay down believing I had no fight left, willing to give up everything—my dreams, my voice, my sense of worth—just to escape your wrath. I thought survival meant disappearing.
But you were wrong.
Despite your darkest desires for me, despite every calculated attempt to undermine me, I did not die. I couldn’t. I had too much to give. Too much truth in my bones. Too much fire buried beneath the rubble you tried to leave behind.
What you never understood is this:
Pain does not always destroy. Sometimes it forges.
I rose. Slowly at first. Shaking. Doubting. But I rose anyway. And somewhere in that rising, I became a version of myself you never anticipated—one you now wish you had never met.
I am no longer the scared little person who broke down and begged for peace.
I am no longer the woman who lay down and surrendered her power to survive.
I survived and I thrived.
I rebuilt myself with clarity, boundaries, and an unshakable sense of self. I learned to see manipulation for what it was. I learned to trust my instincts. I learned that strength doesn’t always roar—but when it does, it cannot be silenced again.
So now, hear this clearly:
Leave me alone.
Walk away.
Give up.
Because if you choose otherwise—if you dare to enter a fight with the woman you created through your cruelty—know this: you are stepping into the presence of someone you never truly met.
And you never will.
