Sometimes, It's Too Much

There comes a place of depletion where we are so tired.
It infiltrates every piece of us.
Our hearts hurt deeply from pain others choose to inflict.
Pain that didn’t have to happen. Pain nobody should endure.
And yet we get up.
We fulfill our obligations.
Because others depend on us.
Some days we want to quit.
To give up.
To lie down and surrender to the pain.
And yet we keep moving.
Doing and answering to everyone else. Giving them what they want and need to fulfil our obligations to everyone but ourselves.
Hoping that someday it will be better. Easier.
We question everything.
What did I do.
How did I end up here.
Why people try to hurt others when we should all work together on some level.
We are all humans differentiated by superficial worth.

Some days it feels impossible.
Some days it is more than we can take.
And yet, here we are. Showing Up.
