Waking up with Clarity

One day, you wake up and the fog is gone.
Not healed. Not fixed. Just awake.

Awake to the fact that surviving quietly almost killed you.
Awake to how tired you are of being judged by people who never lived your pain, never carried your fear, never had to make impossible choices just to stay standing.

I’m done listening to people explain my life to me.
I’m done being told where I “went wrong” by people who only saw the aftermath, never the cage.

Maybe once, before life broke me open, I judged others too.
I don’t anymore.
Because judgment is what people do when they’ve never been forced to choose between unbearable options.

How someone lives is shaped by what they survived.
And unless someone asks for your opinion, it is not your place to offer it.

We are human.
We make mistakes.
But people who’ve lived inside abuse—people already ruthless with themselves—do not need commentary, correction, or moral superiority.

We need you to either be kind—
or shut the fuck up.

I used to bow to other people’s voices.
I let their opinions sink in.
I questioned myself.
I shrank.

Not anymore.

Yes, I made mistakes.
But I learned.
I owned them.
I changed.
I did the work no one saw.

Forgiveness is an overused word.
But self-forgiveness is not optional.
It’s survival.

I did the best I could with what I knew then.
Now I know more.
And I refuse to stay tethered to shame, judgment, or blame.

I am not here to be understood.
I am here to be free.

Untethered.
Unapologetic.
Still rising.
